General instructions

  • K3 elementary participants should be accompanied by a parent to the exhibit room entry. Please line up in an orderly fashion. Credentialed staff will give directions or assist the child into the exhibit room and help to locate their exhibit.
  • Students may use smart phones and laptops with discretion for important communications only.
  • State and national invention competitions no longer allow the use of videos at the In-Person Fair. A participant may not use a demonstration video unless the video is an integral part of the invention (eg. demonstrating an app.).
  • A student may use a laptop quietly and without distracting others when not being judged. A device may be secured by administrators until after judging should this privilege be abused.

Friday, February 6th

K3 grades will set up and be judged on Saturday!
9-12 AM

Exhibit Rooms Setup by Staff

3-7 PM

4-12th grade Student Sign In/Registration/Exhibit Display Setup

  • Personnel will be available to direct participants to specific buildings and exhibit rooms
  • Participants will be provided ID Passes for Entry on Saturday.
  • Exhibit Displays must be approved before leaving.
  • Valuable prototypes and logbooks can be removed and returned the following day for judging.

Saturday, February 7 - Judging day

Arrival times for primary and secondary school students will be staggered to reduce parking congestion. Please follow the directions of parking assistants to keep the traffic flow moving efficiently.

Morning Judging to be confirmed. Here is a general guideline.
9 AM

Middle & High Students should be at their designated exhibit spaces for judging.

10 AM

4-5th grade Elementary students should be at their designated exhibit spaces. Judging will begin as soon as possible.

10:30 AM

11 AM

K3 judging

  • Parents of elementary students will have accommodations in close proximity to their children during judging. However, they should not be close enough to hear or coach the student. Once judged, the parent may join the child.
12:30 PM

Winners Ribbons

  • Efforts will be made to hand out Winners Ribbons before 12:30 PM. Each Division may remove exhibits once this is completed.
  • Historically, inventor students would be required to return in the mid to late afternoon. We are very hopeful to complete the Inventor Fair judging and recognition of winners by 12:30.
  • Winners’ Ribbons denote students who will receive one or more awards at the Awards Program.
  • Inventors Awards Program, TBA
