STEM Buccaneers Camp at FSW

Congratulations on your participation in school-based science and engineering fairs! As 4th and 5th grade Elementary Science Expo participants, you have the opportunity to apply for a FREE summer research opportunity, called STEM Buccaneers, that is being offered by the School District of Lee County (SDLC) and hosted by the School of Pure and Applied Sciences at Florida SouthWestern State College (FSW).

STEM BUCCANEERS PROGRAM DETAILS – SUMMER 2020

Dates and Time: July 13 – 24, 2020 (Monday through Friday), 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM

The STEM Buccaneers program was founded in 2017 by the School District of Lee County and is made possible through the Title IV Part A, Student Support and Academic Enrichment (SSAE) grant. Additional support is being provided by the Thomas Alva Edison Regional Science and Inventors Fairs and Florida SouthWestern State College.

A complete STEM Buccaneers application consists of the online application with essays, student self-assessment of research readiness, teacher assessment of student research readiness, and a behavior contract. Application MUST be received by Friday, May 1, 2020. Finalists selected for this program will be notified by email by Friday, May 8, 2020.
