STEP	Virtual School Fair Environment
1	CREATE a Google Classroom for your School’s Virtual Inventors Fair… SIGN IN to Google Classroom CHOOSE Create class NAME THE CLASS “School Name Science Fair”, EXAMPLE: EdisonParkES Inventors Fair CLICK Create ADD Edison Fairs Staff as Co-teachers to the class CHARLOTTE COUNTY, please ADD Gaylin Morris, gaylin.morris@yourcharlotteschools.net Jason Wikman, jason.wikman@yourcharlotteschools.net LEE COUNTY, please ADD Dr. Caren Polk, CarenMP@leeschools.net Roxann Camel, RoxannCA@leeschools.net INVITE science fair students to the class NOTE: Students will be expected to use this Google Classroom to submit ALL project materials, including *Inventor’s Logbook* for Safety Review, and completed *Inventor’s Logbook, Digital Project Display & Video* for Judging.
2	POST the following “Welcome” Announcement in your Science Fair Google Classroom…. CREATE an Announcement On the Stream page, CLICK Share something with your class and enter the announcement above ADD the following attachments to you announcement: CLICK “Add”, then CLICK “Link” ADD link for Edison Fairs website: www.edisonfairs.org NOTE: To copy URLs for handbook & rules documents, CLICK the hyperlink and CLICK “Copy link”
3	CREATE the following “START your science inventors fair project!” Assignment for students… CREATE an Assignment TITLE the assignment “START your inventors fair project!” ADD the following attachments for *Inventors Fair: Student Worklist* and *Logbooks* ADD link for Inventors Fair: Student Worklist ADD link for Inventors Logbook (Grades K-3) ADD link for Inventors Logbook (Grades 4-12) SELECT “Students can view file” for each attachment NOTE: To copy URLs for handbook & rules documents, CLICK the hyperlink and CLICK “Copy link”
4	CREATE the following “GET READY for judging!” Assignment for students… CREATE an Assignment TITLE the assignment “GET READY for judging!” ADD the following attachments for *Digital Project Display* ADD link for Digital Project Display #1 (TABLE) ADD link for Digital Project Display #2 (FLOOR) SELECT “Students can view file” for each attachment REMIND students that they will need to upload their completed Inventors Logbook, Digital Project Display and *Video Summary* prior to judging Reminder: For Team Projects, the Team Leader should upload project forms to Google Classroom
