The Thomas A. Edison Regional Science & Inventors Fairs is now accepting SCHOOL REGISTRATIONS for all regional STEM competitions, including: Thomas Alva Edison Kiwanis Regional Science & Engineering Fair, Thomas A. Edison Festival of Light Regional Inventors Fair, and Elementary Science Expo.

In order to reserve sufficient space for your students, please complete the School Registration Form as soon as possible. Please note:

  • School/Fair Registration is for schools sending students to our regional STEM competitions. Only School-Based Science Fair Directors should submit the School Registration Form.
  • ALL elementary schools in Charlotte, Collier, and Lee Counties are eligible to participate in either Regional Inventors Fair, Elementary Science Expo, or both.
  • ALL middle schools in Charlotte and Lee Counties are eligible to participate in either Regional Science Fair, Regional Inventors Fair, or both. Collier County middle schools are eligible to participate in Regional Inventors Fair.
  • ALL high schools in Charlotte and Lee Counties are eligible to participate in either Regional Science Fair, Regional Inventors Fair, or both. Collier County high schools are eligible to participate in Regional Inventors Fair.

Schools are encouraged to register by October 22 (Regional Science Fair, Regional Inventors Fair) and by December 1 (Elementary Science Expo).

The Thomas A. Edison Regional Science and Inventors Fairs (TAERSIF) Steering Committee works year-round to organize these regional STEM events; which annually host over 1,000 local students at regional competitions and engage nearly 20,000 students in research projects at a school level. TAERSIF is a sanctioned event of the Edison Festival of Light, as well as an affiliate of both the State Science and Engineering Fair (SSEF) of Florida and Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF).
