STEP	Virtual School Fair Environment
1	CREATE a Google Classroom for your School’s Virtual Science Fair… SIGN IN to Google Classroom CHOOSE Create class NAME THE CLASS “School Name Science Fair”, EXAMPLE: EdisonHS Science Fair CLICK Create ADD Edison Fairs Staff as Co-teachers to the class CHARLOTTE COUNTY, please ADD Gaylin Morris, gaylin.morris@yourcharlotteschools.net Jason Wikman, jason.wikman@yourcharlotteschools.net LEE COUNTY, please ADD Lee Hughes, LeoPH@LeeSchools.Net Benjamin Johnson, BenjaminJ@LeeSchools.Net INVITE science fair students to the class NOTE: Students will be expected to use this Google Classroom to submit their ALL project materials, including *Project Proposal Forms & Research Plan* for SRC Review, and *Abstract, Research Plan, Digital Project Display & Video* for Judging.
2	POST the following “Welcome” Announcement in your Science Fair Google Classroom…. CREATE an Announcement On the Stream page, CLICK Share something with your class and enter the announcement above ADD the following attachments to you announcement: CLICK “Add”, then CLICK “Link” ADD link for Science Fair: Student Worklist ADD link for Science Fair Handbook ADD link for State Science Fair Rules Supplement ADD link for International Science Fair Rules for Pre-college Science Research NOTE: To ADD these links as attachments, RIGHT-CLICK the hyperlink and CLICK “Copy link URL”
3	CREATE the following “START your science fair project!” Assignment for students… CREATE an Assignment TITLE the assignment “START your science fair project!” ADD the following attachments for *Project Proposal Forms* and *Research Plans* ADD links for Project Proposal Forms (HCAD or Regular Project); Research Plan (HCAD) ADD links for Project Proposal Forms (Humans); Research Plan (Humans) ADD links for Project Proposal Forms (PHBA); Research Plan (PHBA) ADD links for Project Proposal Forms (Vertebrates); Research Plan (Vertebrates) SELECT “Students can view file” for each attachment NOTE: To ADD these links as attachments, RIGHT-CLICK the hyperlink and CLICK “Copy link URL” IMPORTANT: ALL Project Proposal Forms & Research Plan MUST be approved by your school Safety Review Committee (SRC) BEFORE students begin experimentation! 4	CREATE the following “GET READY for judging!” Assignment for students… CREATE an Assignment TITLE the assignment “GET READY for judging!” ADD the following attachments for *SSEF of Florida Abstract Form* and *Digital Project Display* ADD link for SSEF of Florida Abstract Form ADD link for Digital Project Display #1 (TABLE); Digital Project Display #2 (FLOOR) SELECT “Students can view file” for each attachment REMIND students that they will need to upload their *Research Plan* and *Video Summary* in addition to their *Abstract Form* and *Digital Project Display* NOTE: To ADD these links as attachments, RIGHT-CLICK the hyperlink and CLICK “Copy link URL” Reminder: For Team Projects, the Team Leader should upload project forms to Google Classroom
