STEP	Virtual School Fair Environment
1	CREATE a Google Classroom for your School’s Virtual Science Fair… SIGN IN to Google Classroom CHOOSE Create class NAME THE CLASS “School Name Science Fair”, EXAMPLE: EdisonParkES Science Fair DEFINE the Section as “2021 Elementary Science Expo” CLICK Create ADD Edison Fairs Staff as Co-teachers to the class CHARLOTTE COUNTY, please ADD Gaylin Morris, gaylin.morris@yourcharlotteschools.net Jason Wikman, jason.wikman@yourcharlotteschools.net LEE COUNTY, please ADD Lee Hughes, LeoPH@LeeSchools.Net Kristie Kennedy, KristieMK@LeeSchools.Net INVITE science fair students to the class NOTE: Students will be expected to use this Google Classroom to submit their ALL project materials, including *Research Plan* for Safety Review, and final *Research Plan, Digital Project Display & Video* for Judging.
2	POST the following “Welcome” Announcement in your Science Fair Google Classroom…. CREATE an Announcement On the Stream page, CLICK Share something with your class and enter the announcement above ADD the following attachments to you announcement: CLICK “Add”, then CLICK “Link” ADD link for Elementary Science Expo Handbook ADD link for Edison Fairs website: www.edisonfairs.org NOTE: To copy URLs for handbook & rules documents, CLICK the hyperlink and CLICK “Copy link”
3	CREATE the following “START your science fair project!” Assignment for students… CREATE an Assignment TITLE the assignment “START your science fair project!” ADD the following attachments for *Elem Sci Expo Student Worklist* and *Research Plan* ADD link for Elementary Science Expo: Student Worklist SELECT “Students can view file” for this attachment ADD link for Elementary Science Expo Research Plan SELECT “Make a copy for each student” for this attachment IMPORTANT: ALL Research Plans MUST be approved BEFORE students begin experimentation! Reminder: For Team Projects, a Team Leader should upload project forms to Google Classroom
4	CREATE the following “GET READY for judging!” Assignment for students… CREATE an Assignment TITLE the assignment “GET READY for judging!” ADD the attachments for *Elem Sci Expo Research Plan* & *Digital Project Display* templates ADD link for Elementary Science Expo Research Plan ADD links for Digital Project Display #1 (TABLE); Digital Project Display #2 (FLOOR) SELECT “Students can view file” for each attachment REMIND students that they will need to upload their final *Research Plan, Video Summary* and *Digital Project Display* prior to judging Reminder: For Team Projects, a Team Leader should upload project forms to Google Classroom
