Elementary Science Expo Overview

Since 2005, the Suncoast Credit Union Elementary Science Expo has served as a showcase event for K-5 students that competed in school-based science fairs. This event is open to students from public, private, charter, and home schools in Charlotte, Collier and Lee Counties.

Competition Levels:

REGIONAL

Our 2022 Suncoast Credit Union Elementary Science Expo will be held Saturday, May 14 at Suncoast Credit Union Arena on the campus of Florida SouthWestern State College in Fort Myers.

Students will present by school. Fair participants are drawn from public, private, parochial and home schools in Charlotte, Collier and Lee Counties. The Awards Ceremony will be held immediately following the public review of projects.

Why Enter an Edison Fairs Competition?

All students have an opportunity to present their work to the public, other students, and some of the approximately 100 mentor judges.
Expo finalists in 4th and 5th grades are eligible to APPLY for STEM Buccaneers Camp at Florida Southwestern State College (July 2022)
All participants receive a certificate and medallion.
All students gain valuable experience in STEM fields prior to participating in upper level Regional Competitions.
